Sally Jamieson
Mid Pacific Assistant Manager and Event Coordinator

Sally is from Austin, Texas where she was born and raised.  She attended Sam Houston State University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art with a minor in Art History.  She continued her studies by attending culinary school in Florence, Italy, taking the opportunity to travel extensively in Europe before returning to Texas.  She began working in the catering business and fell in love with culinary arts and hosting fabulous parties. Since then she has been to other cooking schools and worked within the hospitality industry in various capacities, including creating lavish wedding cakes, and designing and coordinating weddings and other events.

Sally, along with her fiancé, decided to attend a Spanish language school in Costa Rica, with a view to possibly finding work and spending an extended time period in the region.  They also decided that Costa Rica would be a good place to tie the knot!

Having planned her own wedding and picked up a fair amount of Spanish, Sally began looking for work in the wedding and event planning industry in Costa Rica.  It didn’t take her long to come across Tropical Occasions, and so she wrote to Aimee, insisting that she was a great fit for the company and that she would be a valuable addition to the team.  This confident approach paid off, and Sally is busy proving herself as an excellent event planner based in Manuel Antonio.

Sally also enjoys spending time in the Costa Rican outdoors with her husband, practicing yoga, surfing and developing new ideas for ecologically friendly entertaining.
