Aimee and Margie,

We want to thank you so much for helping us plan a perfect wedding. When we got engaged a year ago, we knew that we wanted to try a destination wedding but did not know where to begin. After finding your website and communicating with you through email, we knew that we could trust you with all the details of planning our wedding. You were prompt in answering any questions that we had and the suggestions that you gave us were wonderful. Knowing that you were not going to be able to make the trip to Tamarindo because of your pregnancy, we were confident in Margie taking over to make sure that things went smoothly. She did such an amazing job in planning every detail that it exceeded our expectations. From the beautiful flowers and cake to the gourmet coffee bags for our guests, we could not have dreamed of a more perfect day. The idea of having an intimate reception with 35 guests was a wonderful way to share our special day. Everyone commented on how spectacular the ceremony and dinner were and enjoyed every minute of it. We would recommend your services to any couple planning a wedding in Costa Rica and enjoyed both the wonderful people and culture. Not a day goes by that we don’t think of our wedding day and we want to thank you both so much for your help and commitment. We appreciate all that you have done and hope to come back for our anniversary soon.

Thanks again,
Josh and Chrissy Moscov

Hi Aimee and Erin,

We just wanted to thank you both for everything you did to make our wedding happen. From the flowers and table design (absolutely gorgeous), to the coordination of transfers (how perfect to book a bus!), spa services and canopy tour (good thing everyone was flexible, because we had way more takers on both than originally anticipated), and the "Welcome Party," (went off without a hitch) expectations were far exceeded. Everyone has commented on what a beautiful wedding and fabulous time it was, and to give you a sampling of how great you guys are, here are some of the things people said:

* "Everything was so perfectly planned."
* "You're lucky to have such nice wedding coordinators."
* "This was the best wedding I've ever been to."
* "Everything was perfect."
* "You made everything so easy!"
* "It was so beautiful."
* "Good call on buying the alcohol in advance." (This said by someone enjoying his Imperial at the impromptu pool party thrown the next day with all the leftovers from the reception.)
* "Can you guys get married again next year?"

In fact, our wedding goes down in the books as the first to receive thank you notes from some of the guests! And none of this would have happened without your expertise, your patience (dealing with neurotic brides, especially in the third trimester can't be easy), and your creativity. We can't stop looking at the photos, (Juan Carlos did a fantastic job), and we get so sentimental when we think of that whole wonderful week.

Feel free to use us as a reference, and we will write a longer letter of recommendation whenever you need. Thanks again for everything! PURA VIDA!

Melissa and Bill Bertolino

Margie and Aimee,

We want to thank you so much for creating the wedding of our dreams.  We are sorry this note is so late in coming, but we really wanted to make sure we told you how much your help meant to us.  From the beginning when we started planning, to the end of our wedding night, everything went so smoothly.  We had full trust in you both to do the job--and you delivered.  Even though it rained the entire day, you had a backup plan--and as it turned out, the backup was a crowd pleaser.  We think the consensus was that the backup plan turned out better than the original--can't argue with that!

As the bride, I couldn't have felt more at ease.  Everyone kept commenting on how composed I was--little did they know that the reason was because of you both.  I never once doubted your judgment--which can be hard to do as the bride.  But you never gave us reason to doubt you.

We also want you to know that every person you contracted out for the wedding from the florist to the hair and makeup team did an excellent job.  They labored over each strand of my hair--making me feel like a princess.  We were especially pleased with the photography by Juan Carlos.  And as you can probably imagine, he was a hit with all the ladies at the reception (I had my eyes on another man though ).  I would recommend him to anyone--our pictures have been complemented so many times!  Jorge Chaves was wonderful and he really made our ceremony special.  We also loved the band you had playing at the wedding and reception--they were perfect.  And Costa Verde's facilities were gorgeous and they did an excellent job with the reception.  We could keep going and going. . .

Again, thank you so much for being a part of our day--you made it truly memorable.  We will not hesitate to spread the work about the great job you did for us.  Aimee:  congratulations on being a mom and we wish you the best of luck with your new family.  Margie:  thank you for pulling everything together in the end--and thank your husband for us too--he was a wonderful help through everything (we watched the video he took during the wedding the other night--it is so great to have that memory!).

Muchas Gracias y Pura Vida:

Dear Aimee and Margie:

Just a short note to let you know how much we appreciated your comprehensive, caring, and trouble-free planning for the recent wedding of our daughter, Shawna and her wonderful new husband, Travis Robson in Tamarindo.

What could have been a logistical nightmare turned into one of the most unforgettable carefree experiences for everyone involved.

The wedding ceremony itself was flawless and beautiful with the setting sun and ocean waves as a spectacular backdrop.  The reception dinner at the Cala Luna was delicious and enjoyed by all.

Thanks again for your responsiveness from the beginning to the very end of our planning process.  Your promptly returned e-mails to every question or concern, which was sent to you, were always professional and truly caring.

Sincerely,
Cathy and Allan Belt

Dear Aimee:

Hope all is well and the pregnancy is great. I wanted to thank you and Margie for a job well done.
It’s amazing that after almost a year of planning the wedding weekend has come and gone.
Iris and I could never have pulled this off without you and Margie. Both of you were a pleasure to work with and were extremely accommodating.
Your choice of bands, fireworks display, flowers, photographer were all just perfect. As an added bonus the monies you saved us negotiating for the liquor, gift baskets and other items were appreciated.
I was impressed that you even helped me plan fishing trips and transportation requests as well.
You can be sure if our other daughter decides on a destination wedding in Costa Rica you will be the first person I call.

Again I thank you not only for the wedding but the entire weekend. The rehearsal dinner and breakfast were great. You and all your vendors recommended were all extremely professional and we are appreciative of everyone’s individual efforts. You and Margie run a tight ship and we will always be thankful to you both for how hard you worked for our daughters wedding day.

Please keep in touch and let us know about the baby.

Best Regards
Lee & Iris Bordman

Dear Aimee,

It is hard to believe that it was just a year ago that I became engaged and Dave and I decided to get married in Costa Rica.  I remember surfing the web trying to find out more information and ending up on your site. I remember thinking, wow, the photos are amazing, I have to get married in Costa Rica.  But there was part of me that thought I was crazy for trying to plan a wedding in a foreign country and my mom was twice as skeptical.

Being an event planner myself I figured I would know right away if you were serious and organized.  Sure enough, I sent you an email and had an immediate response with a ton of helpful information to get me started with my plans.  Could it really be as easy as signing a contract and emailing you a list of things I wanted that included some of the photos from your website showing what I liked?  It sure was...

In February, I sent you an email with my ideas.  Occasionally I would send you some more thoughts or questions.  For example when I was having a hard time with a travel agent a friend recommended, you recommended Todd and he was fabulous and coordinated travel and vacations for my entire family and most of my guests!  All agreed he was great.  That helped my family and guests get comfortable with traveling to Costa Rica for my wedding.  That is just one example of your excellent recommendations.

You worked incredibly well with my in-laws, which was an extra challenge since they are from England and have very different traditions and culture.  But they too found it very easy to work with you and coordinate the rehearsal dinner.

When I arrived in Costa Rica in October for my wedding I was instantly greeted by hotel staff who welcomed my family and guests and made me feel comfortable that they new the plans for my wedding.

Then the day arrived.  Unlike most brides, I was completely relaxed.  I enjoyed every minute of the day while getting ready for the wedding.  I didn't worry about the flowers arriving, if everyone would be in the right place, or if people would have fun.  I was confident you had everything under control and was able to sit back and treasure the moment.   The hairstylist you recommended arrived and styled my hair perfectly... amazing given my curly hair isn't very manageable in humid weather!

Then I was escorted onto the beach and tears came to my eyes, as the ceremony setting was more beautiful then I imagined it could be.  The flowers were gorgeous and every detail was taken care of.  Even when the quartet was stranded in town, at the last minute, you found a great guitarist who performed perfectly.  No one knew he was a replacement.

Your photographer Juan Carlos Solano took amazing photos after the wedding and didn't miss a shot.  He made everyone look great and didn't take away from the moment while demanding orders.  Most people think we had to doctor the photos to get everyone to look that perfect, and the sky... well that was something else.

Who knew that I could mention in an email that Gerber daisies were my favorite flower and that you would ensure I was surrounded by thousands of Gerber daisies.  Every request I had was met perfectly and in most cases my expectation was far exceeded.

You also did me the favor or sharing your expertise.   When I was unsure on something you gave me an answer based on all your experience.  You didn't always tell me yes, but in the end your recommendations were dead on.

I know all of my guests had an amazing time, my mom was so happy she let me take a chance on a destination wedding and Dave and I know we had the wedding of a lifetime that was perfect down to every detail.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for making the most important day of my life more than I ever dreamed it could be.  It is not easy to put your trust in someone you have never met for a day as important of this, but you truly did an amazing job and I know it would not  have been nearly as special with out you.

Sincerely,

Cyndi Wright

Dear Aimee,

Jim and I have been back from Costa Rica for almost a week and we have had a chance to reflect on the happy celebration of Meg and Jiggs' wedding.  It was an amazing weekend.  We sing your praises and are so incredibly grateful for your hours of hard, hard work, creativity, and sweet spirit.  It far surpassed our dreams and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  Most important, Jiggs and Meg were delighted with every detail.

Our "Love Fiesta" was such fun Friday night.  It was a colorful, happy, exuberant evening.

All our guest loved the party.  The decorations were more beautiful than I could have ever imagined.  With the sunset, the tent became even more, lovely with the glow of the lanterns and candles.  I loved the table clothes and the bows on the chairs.  It all made the evening so festive!  Under your guidance the food was great too.  Jim and I were pleased to give our guests a taste of Costa Rica.  The children were adorable and the professional dancers offered a real challenge to us.  They were amazing.  Applause to you Aimee!!

The Saturday sunset wedding was incredible; elegant, gracious, beautiful, welcoming, etc.  Every glowing adjective I can think of applies to the wedding and they all apply to the beautiful bride too. Meg looked absolutely beautiful.  I loved the set up for the wedding service.  The flowers at each row of chairs and the soft canopy made such impact.  One of my favorite parts was the reception under the grass umbrellas; umbrellas dressed in orchids and cascading candles, imagine!!!  The cool towels and cool drinks refreshed the guests.  The set-up for the dinner was gorgeous too.  The candles on bamboo rafts and the white lanterns offered the perfect lighting.  I loved the bamboo tables and the center pieces gave the most, lovely splash of color.  The dinner was scrumptious and it was so graciously and efficiently served by the Marriott staff.  How great were those fireworks!!!   Only to be topped by the chocolate bread pudding.   The evening was perfection and we offer sincere thanks in making it all possible.

I don't know how you found the energy to put the special touches on the brunch, but you did.  We all basked in the afterglow of the previous evening.  I was fun to be together and hear all the positive comments about the wedding.  Any brunch that has chocolate mousse has my vote as the "best ever brunch."  The food was incredible and we had plenty of flowers.  Getting them to Casa Dome must have been a pain in the neck for you, but they did look lovely.  Thank-you also for the makeup treat.  Fernando did a good job with what was available to him, meaning me...Meg looked absolutely breathtaking.

I can't close with out telling you too how wonderful "the meet and greet" was.  Our friends were so appreciative of being greeted upon their arrival and they all raved about their drivers.  It got the celebration off to a stress-free start and I think it went a long way in setting the tone of the celebration, "we are going to take care of you and you will have a great time."

Aimee, I don't know how to thank-you enough other than to say it was a delight to work with you and I sincerely hope we can have more events with you.  Your positive, sweet manner made it possible for us to participate and  truly enjoy every aspect of the weekend celebration.  My thanks to Marianna and all your staff.  They were exceptional in every way.

Keep in touch with us!  How about your wedding---when and where?  We pray that you and your husband to be have a long life together that is filled with blessings.

Love to you,
Sally Rogers

Dear Aimee,

Well, it's been almost a month since our wedding and our guests still can't stop talking about the "wedding of a lifetime".  I can't begin to thank you for all you did to make our wedding an event that was the end-all, be-all to all weddings. According to them, they never want to attend another wedding because it will never be as good as the one you put on for us.

When Eric and I first decided to get married outside of the states, we did a ot of research and decided upon Costa Rica.  Why not make our wedding an adventure?!  We were going to invite about 30 of our friends and family, it would be affordable for them, and there was something to do there for everyone of all ages.  However, after we got the invites out, and received our responses, we were taken aback to realize that we were going to have 90 people coming!  You can imagine the stress we felt when we realized that we were going to end up spending a lot more than we wanted to, and were probably going to have to compromise a lot of the details in order to stay within our budget.

At this point, I realized that I needed help.  How on earth was I going to coordinate menu, flowers, deejay, etc. with the hotel all the way from Michigan when they had a hotel to run and still stay within our budget?! That's when I found you, and from there, you took the time to find out what Eric and I wanted, what our budget was, and made it all happen even better than we could have dreamed.

Aimee, you have exceptional class and exquisite taste.  You met with the chef and developed a menu fit for kings.  You coordinated to get the flowers flown into Tamarindo, made sure there were enough chairs rented, and that we had a back up plan in case it rained (which it almost did, but someone was looking out for us that day!).  You scouted for the beach location, made sure the guests had transportation to/and from the beach, and created a stunning stage for our ceremony, topped off with a mariachi band.  The day of the wedding was surreal.  Guests were in awe when they saw the hustle and bustle of the hotel preparing for the reception and drilling the tents into the area around the pool.  At your direction, the bridesmaids stayed indoors so their hair wouldn't frizz, and even got their hair done by Candice who was able to accentuate the beautiful girls they are.  All the while, photographer  was there to capture these moments with his camera.  (Thank you to you both, by the way for calming my bride hysteria when it threatened to pour rain!)  I wish I could write everything else you did too, but it's really too much to put into words.

To sum it up, from the beginning to the very end (where everyone ended up in the pool with their clothes on) you were there for us and we are forever grateful.  Thank you for making our wedding day one that we and our 90 guests will never, ever forget.  I would strongly recommend Tropical Occasions and Costa Rica to anyone considering to get married outside of the U.S.   We had the adventure of our lives and our guests did too.

With much love and gratitude,
Lisa and Eric Ebejer

Hello Aimee and Marianna!

I'm sorry that it has taken me so long to drop you a note.  I know you probably haven't had a minute to give it a second thought due to your busy schedule but Richard, mother and I want you to know how grateful we are for all your help with our wedding.  We were so pleased with the way things finally turned out.  Our guests all had a terrific time in Costa Rica. It will not only be a wedding they will never forget but also a vacation experience they will always remember.

All of your suggestions for flowers, music, activities and locations were right on the mark.  I'm sure (for you) it probably felt like the wedding that just wouldn't go away.  However, we are appreciative of your prompt responses both to us and our guests questions over the last year.  I know that you worked hard to make things happen with Si Como No.  In the end, we were quite pleased with their services and felt they did deliver on their agreement.

The Sunset Cruise was I think the most surprising.  I still don't know how that guy knew where to go to avoid the rain, but he did!  Everyone had a terrific time.

Richard and I look forward to coming back to Costa Rica for future anniversaries.  Please feel free to use us as a reference for your services. Thank you again for your hard work and for making our day so special.

Your truly,
Richard and Gretchen Greco

Aimee:

What did Cary Grant say in one of those movies from the 1950s?  We think is was "Judy, Judy, Judy!"  Well, our retort to that is Aimee, Aimee, Aimee!!!  We honestly can't believe our good fortune in stumbling across your website and the absolutely, drop dead great, can't beat this with a stick, it's the best ever, wonderful services you provided us!!  You have that wonderful combination of being a consummate organizer and problem fixer, cheerleader, helper, "mother hen" and just plain friend!  You also have the patience of Job and the absolute most cheery personality that either of us have dealt with in a looong time.  Our only regrets about the wedding are not perhaps seeing Einar our Officient and Juan Carlos  our photographer again AND NEVER MEETING YOU IN PERSON!  But, your wonderful help has made us "Aimee's Disciples".  Aimee, without you, our wedding would not have happened as we had dreamed it to be.

Aimee, if you want to use us as references, PLEASE do so.  We can't thank you three enough for your wonderful help and friendship.  We're 45 and 44, respectively, so we've seen lots or highs and lows.  But, thanks to you all, November 27, 2003 was the absolute best day of both our lives!!

Pura Vida!!!

To Whom It May Concern:

I was just married in beautiful Costa Rica on November. 18th 2003 and I thought I would let any bride who is thinking about going out of the country to get married that it is a fun and yet sometimes nerve racking experience but well worth it.

When my husband and I decided to go to Costa Rica for our wedding we thought it would be such a memorable way to become man and wife, and it was, thanks to Aimee and her team!   When you start the planning process most of us think, (wow I hope this turns out) and (I hope when I get there it’s everything that I imagined it would be).  And because of Aimee’s experience and knowledge of every detail from the location, to the entertainment, to the hair and make-up and EVERYTHING in between it was perfect.  My husband and I highly recommend Aimee and her team and we would vouch for her any day.  She made our wedding magical and exactly what I had imagined it would be, perfect!

Sincerely,
Eric & Jenna Washburn

Hi Sara

Sorry it took a few days to get back with you.  I have been traveling.  One word sums up Aimee Monihan, AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Sara, I could not even begin to put into words how wonderful Aimee is.  I am a very detailed person (very type A), so over a period of a year I must have sent Aimee at least 100 emails.  (I thought knowing my personality might help you understand better how amazing she is).
She was always extremely prompt in responding to my emails.  The only time it may have taken a few days was due to the fact she was getting info from vendors for the wedding.  I absolutely cannot imagine how anyone could plan a wedding without her!  On the day of the wedding, I did not have to think about anything.

She was always there behind the scenes making sure everything was perfect.  She is an absolute gem.  She made sure everything I wanted came true, and she also helped with other little things that needed taken care of regarding the trip that were not expected.  I would recommend getting married in Costa Rica to everyone.  It is a beautiful country with beautiful and loving people.  I feel confident that there is absolutely no way to have a wedding in Costa Rica and actually enjoy it without Aimee's assistance and expertise.

I am already trying to talk another girl I work with into getting married in Costa Rica, and of course with the assistance of Aimee.  Aimee made me feel so special like I was the only bride she had to take care of (meanwhile she probably had 50 more sending her emails also).  I could go on and on, but you probably get my point.  I wish you all the best for your special day, and know all of your dreams will come true there.  If you need to ask me any more questions about anything over there from a bride's perspective, please do not hesitate to email me.  Take care Sarah.

Sincerely,
Elisha Krempetz

Hello Lisa,

I was thrilled to hear from you! Congratulations to you and your fiancé on your upcoming wedding!  Ahhh...and in Costa Rica!!!! It's going to be fabulous!  I'll start by saying our wedding was nothing less than incredible! Brian and I expected it to be fun and beautiful (afterall we were getting married in Costa Rica), but our wedding day truly exceeded our highest expectations.

There is no question that you have to work with Aimee on this! She was awesome and we really owe the success of our wedding to her. She was on top of things, she had great vendors, florist, hairdressers, band, cake baker, and all were fantastic!  And especially in a place where things seem to move a little slower, Aimee was the ultimate resource and got everyone moving. She and her staff are a lot of fun too. It was really a blast and there's no way things would have gone half as well without her coordination. Forget J. Lo, she is A. Mo! Tulemar was the perfect setting for the event as well. We had 50 guests come down (kids included). The ceremony was on the beach at around 3pm.

We had to change the time from 4:30 because it was the highest tide of the year on our wedding day and I didn't really feel like accessorizing my wedding dress with a snorkel.  With a couple of easy changes such as the time and the way we laid out the ceremony site (along the beach, not facing the ocean), everything was perfect. The Tulemar staff is great!  You will get to know each one! They also did a freestyle-reggae-improv-rap with the band which was unbelievable! Definitely a highlight.  The food was awesome, my husband is a chef and I am  the ultimate foodie, and we had no complaints. We had tuna, filet, risotto, ceviches and salsa, all delicious! hmmm...what else....the band was great too! They played reggae latin and were super. I don't think we stopped dancing.

The cake was beautiful and delicious also.  And the flowers were amazing. Overall it scored a perfect 10. We wouldn't change a thing! As you can probably tell, reminiscing about our day makes me pretty happy. Of the 50 guests in attendance we had more than half tell us our wedding was the best they have ever been too.  I feel pretty confident Lisa that if you work with Aimee you will be hearing the same thing!  Attached are a couple of pictures of the setup at Tulemar, Feel free to look at the rest of our pictures at http://www.brianandstacey.smugmug.com  Please let me know if I can answer any questions other for you! I would be happy too! All the best to you and your fiancee! And have a wonderful life together!

Pura Vida

Dear Aimee,

Back in the cold now. Brrrr. Bob and I did not want to come home. Costa Rica is absolutely beautiful! We travelled all down the Pacific Coast after we left the villa. Went back to Tamarindo, Arenal, Montezuma and Manuel Antonio.

We had planned for Dominical but the surf was to good in Manuel Antonio to leave! We will be back for sure....if not to live then just for a visit.  How hard was it for you to move there?Let me say a huge THANKYOU for the change in beach and all of your work.  It was a beautiful day and a beautiful ceremony.  You made our day run smoothly and without any hitches so thank you again.

It was great to meet you...you are a beautiful person inside and out. I will send you pictures of our wedding.  They are absolutely beautiful thanks to the location and of course YOU! Many thanks and all the best to you.

Sincerely,
Kristin Barrette

Hi Aimee,

We've almost been married four weeks now, and I've been meaning to write you for weeks.  The honeymoon went great--the hard part was coming back to Minnesota with below-zero temperatures and the stress of daily life.  We're having a post-wedding party for almost 200 people on Saturday.  Loads of people are coming in from out of town, and it's hectic and chaotic, but fun.

Anyway, back to the wedding.  I want to thank you for all the hard work you did to pull together the most fabulous event ever!  Every detail was perfect.  When people ask how it went, I tell them it was better than I could have ever expected.  The flowers were amazingly gorgeous, the officiate was kind and personable, the vows were beautiful, the setting was the most romantic spot ever, The photos are great...you even did my hair for me, and it was exactly what I wanted!  Everyone who attended says it was the best wedding they've ever seen.  This is all thanks to you and your great planning skills, timing, and taste.

So thank you, thank you, thank you for making our most important day the most memorable ever.

Warm regards,
Becky Orttel

Were do I start?

Aimee really did an unbelievable job for Michelle and I , from the planning to the execution, everything was perfect.  I don't normally give out perfect 10's as far as recommendations are concerned because I feel there is always something more to aspire to, but in this case it is appropriate because she essentially was the reason we were able to enjoy our wedding and honeymoon so much.

We planned the details of the wedding with her prior to arriving in CR.  When we arrived, she stepped in and there was very little she would let us do from there.  She turned out to be much more than a wedding planner to us, often she was also our translator, local guide and friend.

As a result of all of Aimee's efforts, my wife was able to be at ease prior and up to the wedding (as much as one can be before getting married) and I was more relaxed knowing everything was in a very capable persons hands.  The wedding itself went off with out a hitch and was a lot of fun (CR is great place to get married!).  Aimee even helped us with some great recommendations on were to stay in CR and what to do when our honeymoon began.

I hope this helps, good luck and congratulations,

Best Regards,
Ted Yntema

To whom it may concern,

This is our story of getting married in Costa Rica……

It all started on our four-month expedition through Latin America when Matt popped the question in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. What better place to get engaged, and what better place to get married. The only problem was how to plan a wedding in Latin America?  If it hadn’t been for Aimee, we certainly wouldn’t have been able to pull off a 125 person wedding in a foreign country. Much less one where things usually get done….”manana”.

Imagine trying to get that many people down to a wedding that also happens to be 4 hours from the international airport. Negotiating charter planes, charter buses and private cars was a snap for Aimee. Add to that the logistics of working with 4 hotels, an off site rehearsal dinner, a beach party, 5 days of activities for the guests and the actual wedding. Don’t even get me started on planning Beach Olympics that included horseback riding, egg relays, water balloon tosses and bat races.

Everything was always done by Aimee, with a smile, and an “I’m sure we’ll figure out a way to get you the Pillsbury cupcakes you want for your wedding cake!”. As the bride I didn’t worry about a thing, just enjoyed the activities and the events. The wedding was beyond breathtaking with the amazing staff at the Hotel. They trimmed all the bushes, gave the stairs a fresh coat of paint and even worked with the recipes I sent them for the dinner. They were friendly, excited about having us there and making it fun for the guests. No request was too small for them to handle. Plus the fresh squeezed margaritas at the spectacular pool bar overlooking the ocean made everything seem inconsequential.

Matt and I would not hesitate to recommend a wedding in Costa Rica, but only with Aimee’s help. The logistics, the differences in expectations and making things happen are all part of what Aimee provides best. She makes the process bearable, smooth and actually enjoyable.

Sincerely.
Matt and Nadia Daniels

Aimee,

Thank you again sooo much for everything you have done. We don't know how our wedding would have turned out if we had not found you. You have an incredible knack for wedding planning.

When we first considered having a wedding out of country, it seemed a daunting task. We had no idea where to begin. Luckily, during one of our random web searches we stumbled across your website. From the very first contact, you were professional, friendly and responsive. Being able to reach you through email and Instant Message made it seem as if you were just around the corner. The distance between us seemed non-existent.

We were so thrilled to find that you understood our vision for the ceremony and dinner. You offered various ideas of how to help us realize it effortlessly. When we walked out to Villa Caletas amphitheater, we were struck by the beauty and color of the Chuppa and all the flowers, we were completely speechless. It was perfect! The centerpieces and candles made the tables stunning and the cake was flawless (tasted great too).

You are so organized and know exactly what needs to be done and when. You dispelled any fear we had of planning a wedding far from home by making sure every angle had been covered from the cake and flowers to the photographer, lawyer and band. The team you have assembled to work with you is exemplary. They were all very helpful, super nice and delivered all they promised and more. We didn't have worry about thing.

Aimee, we can't thank you enough for helping us realize our dream wedding. We will see you in 10 years when we renew our vows. Knowing us, we won't be able to wait that long and we will probably be back in 5.

Thanks again!
Jay & Kim

To Whom It May Concern;

This letter serves as a recommendation for Aimee Monihan of Tropical Occasions.  Our daughter was married in Costa Rica in May, 2003, and we used her services during the period from January, 2003 through June, 2003 to coordinate the almost all aspects of the wedding.   We were very pleased with her company’s work and are happy to be a reference for future customers.

The wedding was in Tamarindo, a relatively difficult location on the Pacific Coast, and Aimee and her team was of great assistance in coordinating the logistics of 60 guests, hotel coordination for rooms, meals, and entertainment, the rehearsal dinner at a different location, the beachside sunset wedding ceremony, and the reception dinner at the hotel afterward.  The wedding and reception were beautiful with the florist, photographer, band, minister, DJ, and cake arriving as planned.  Everyone was impressed at how romantic the wedding and reception were and how smoothly everything went.  We only had two minor glitches and in both cases Aimee was very proactive at solving problems, took our interests at heart, and was a tireless advocate for having a perfect wedding!  Additionally, Aimee personally provided great guidance on Costa Rica in general and helped the members of the wedding party make the most of their trip in San Jose and other parts of the country before and after the wedding.

During the months and weeks and days before the wedding any and all of us found it easy to reach Aimee via e-mail or her cell-phone, and despite the distances we were able to have good, reliable, timely communications.  She worked very closely with us on expenses and kept events within our budget.  By the time we got to Costa Rica everything was under control and we were able to enjoy the trip and the wedding like honored guests.  We wish she had been around for our own wedding!  We would be happy to answer any questions about working with Aimee or what it is like to have an “off-shore” wedding in Costa Rica.
